Advent will be here soon! I truly believe we must prepare our hearts for this season. I love what George Whitefield says: Let us consider our duty in the true observation thereof, of the right way for the glory of God, and the good of immortal souls, to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. So lets begin to consider how we will approach and enjoy the season of Advent. What will our worship look like this season as we seek to worship Jesus? What will our relationships and encounters with all people look like as we seek to love all? What will our checkbook and spending habits look like as we seek to spend less? What are we going to give people? We will give to the church? What will we do to give more this year? Let's begin to contemplate Christmas, so that we will experience unprecedented joy in Christ this advent season.
May we rejoice and celebrate Jesus coming into the world to save us from death!
